SikaMix Frostproofer & Plasticiser is a chloride-free liquid admixture designed to improve the workability of mortar while helping protect fresh mixes during cold-weather working.

Ideal for bricklaying, blockwork, pointing, rendering and floor screeds, it combines the benefits of a mortar plasticiser with an accelerator to improve handling and reduce setting times in low temperatures.

SikaMix Frostproofer & Plasticiser also improves freeze/thaw resistance and can help reduce bleeding, segregation, shrinkage and cracking in mortar mixes.

Quick Application Guide

SikaMix Frostproofer & Plasticiser should be pre-mixed with clean gauging water before being added to the mortar or render.

Recommended dosage:

Temperatures down to -4°C: approximately 1.25 litres per 25kg of cement.

Very cold conditions: refer to the latest Sika Product Data Sheet for the correct dosage and application limitations.

All materials must be free from ice and the mortar temperature before placing should not be below +4°C.

Do not use weak mortar mixes during cold weather and protect completed work from freezing during the initial curing period.
